Art Page Layout

I have to make an art webpage for my IB Art class. Everything is about layout, and blah, blah, blah (you know how wacky art/music teachers can get)... Since quite a few of the members on this site are teens; students I was wondering if you would be so kind as to (if your school has one) post the URL to your school's webpage. I don't have any clue at all how to start! The teacher has only given me the names of the sections and has hinted that he likes "moving objects". Of course for that you would need Flash and I don't have it, and my school's IT department is a POS.
Thanks. Most schools have pretty static pages, Insomniac. Sounds like your teacher is looking for something different.
Hmmm... arts type stuff and "moving objects"...
Well, I don't think you'd need Flash for something like that, you know. Not really. There are other ways to get "movement".

Simple gif animations could work - twirling stars for list items or animated mailboxes and the like.

What about simple javascript rollovers for the menus? Or I've seen menus that slide into place, again using javascript.

You could also use a layer to imitate animation. I did it quite a while ago using Dreamweaver, but I'm not sure how you'd do it otherwise. I could do up a page for you and give you a copy of the code for it, if that would help. You'd have to change it to fit your own site, but it wouldn't be any different than picking up the same thing off the Internet.

Another option might be to Download a trial version of either Flash or Director (if you wanted to try Shockwave interactive animation). They're both 30 day trials, if I'm not mistaken.
Good luck!
