Regards,
Raicol No follows are not Good for Ranking but may for traffic I think nofollow blog comment can really be helpful in getting a good amount of traffic to your websites..I was reading an article at seomoz which tells that dofollow links do more harms to your website profile, The best way is to keep the proper balance between nofollow and dofollow links. I haven't watched this video but I had read blog on google web master central where Google's blogger clearly said that no follow links are used to indicate that do not follow this link or do not count it as a back link.
But that doesn't mean no follow links are worthless these links are not counted as back link only from Google because was introduce this attribute on the other side SE's excepting Google are counting those links as back links and another good thing with no follow links is they are driving huge traffic on the web sites. Hi,
As we all know that no-follow its not important as do follow. but no-follow is use full as a traffic generate source. If you are getting huge traffic from nofollow links then Google can give them priority. Although they are not good for SEO but for traffic they are good.. Nofollow links are meant to target real users instead of search engine. So, nofollow links can absolutely be worth getting if you intend to get users with those links.
nofollowed links can absolutely be worth getting in terms of visitors. The main aim of SEO is to get traffic.
If nofollow links does this task, then they are definitely relevant. Nofollow links can do you alot of good. For example, if one of your articles gets picked up by a nofollow site, you may not get a backlink, but you can get a ton of eyes on your link -- all of which are capable of clicking on your link, visiting your site, and spending money. It's not like readers say "oh, this is a nofollow site, so as interested as I am in visiting this site, forget it".

With so many nofollow sites out there, getting nofollow links are something that cannot be avoided. Plus, getting nothing but dofollow links can actually look fishy to Google. It looks like you're not building links naturally, and that's certainly not the impression that you want to give! No follow are no useful in getting backlink but they are useful in generate traffic. I know of many "adult" sites that rank on position 1 of a highly competetive keyword. They all have 90% NO FOLLOW backlinks pointing to their domain. A backlink is a backlink Quote: Originally Posted by robmac I know of many "adult" sites that rank on position 1 of a highly competetive keyword. When i say I know sites that have 90% no-follows that are positioned on postion 1/2 I refer to google and not to yahoo and bing. there is after all only one real search engine at the moment. So no-follow do have an impact no follow really works allot we can never refuse the importence of no follow because digg is a no follow but still if your post gets lots of digg you can get high traffic in just no time and it is good for your website Quote: Originally Posted by pool.master60 no follow really works allot we can never refuse the importence of no follow because digg is a no follow but still if your post gets lots of digg you can get high traffic in just no time and it is good for your website Bingo!!! we have a winner. pool-master has just 5 posts and knows his stuff! Pool beat me to it as well.

The essence is that there are different ways you can promote your website. One is by increasing your google ranking by getting backlinks, the other is getting a link to your website that people can click on. When you're posting a link, that link should do one or the other. There is little point getting a nofollow backlink that will never be clicked on to come to your site. Almost all of them above have mentioned nofollow is useless in SEO aspect. I some how disagree to this.

I have seen sites ranking on #3 for a competitive keyword with just a bunch of nofollow blog comments on Techcrunch and Mashable.

Nofollow links may not pass PageRank but the Google bot does count in the anchor text and the link. This is my opinion. I personally post my links on Yahoo Answers alot, even though it is NoFollow, you can target your audience really well there. I get so so traffic from it, but at least its real, targeted traffic. I think the consensus of most people is that NO Follow is not irrelevant
