what happened?
 
Check your file .htaccess in your forum folder

rename it or remove it to vieiw if the probleme are in the .htaccess or not ;)
 
Possibly there's a file in your forum that might be chowned to root with 000 file permissions from your host provider, some time in 3.7.3 version, "showthread.php" is targeted by automated bots causing extremely high processing on server. Ask your host to re-provide ownership of the chowned file to you if they did.
