What is the compatibility between AOL and mailto functions? I have heard that this will not open the AOL mail client, but not sure if it's a setting that controls this, or if it just won't work with AOL. <br />

Though, the smartest thing to do would be to write a simple server-side script for sending e-mail so everything is done transparently.<!--content-->provided that AOL is the default mail client, I have found AOL the best at handling the mailto anchor. It will correctly add the to address, and cc and bccs, as well as a subject and html-embedded message
