Has anyone here used Identi.ca for getting traffic to their site it's a microblogging site if yes can you demonstrate it for me... I have used it a couple of years back. Popularity wise, it is stuck around the 150k mark according to compete and has not really picked up. But it is a good site nevertheless in a technical sense, just not much of a factor for any marketing or traffic goals. They do offer integration with Twitter. i have also tried that one , but there is more less possibility to get traffic from identia.ca but you can add your twitter account to that and update both at same time Personally, I use ping.fm service in updating my Identi.ca account automatically when I update my sites. I think it would help more in backlinks but not traffics.

I personally prefer twitter to identi.ca. i have used identi.ca some time ago. i have not got much traffic from that site. but i have got back link from my identi.ca profile. Twitter is best for getting traffic comparing than identi.ca.....it's like Google and Yahoo, people obviously prefer to optimize their site for Google. Can you elaborate on how you get backlinks from it and not traffic. I use identi.ca to quick index my pages. Identi.ca is a micro-blogging site that provides backlinks to your site. I use identi.ca. its a micro-blogging site like twitter. I get some traffic from identi.ca through profile page i am also using identi.ca and i got backlinks but not traffic
