Any utility or helper classes for mvc3 dropdown list?

I am working on MVC3 and we have requirement to have plenty of dropdown list, looking to see if there are/is any helper classes or utility that makes life easy working with dropdowns in mvclike a class with bunch of properties, that enables controls to keep user selections and can be carried by requestsplease let me know your experience
