I have a decent knowledge behind anchor text and SEO. However, there's something I am trying to understand. I did google it but I could not find an answer (provided that I looked at the right places).
Let's suppose I have a backlink somewhere (not no-follow), and the anchor text is "Pretty Stupid Question" . Yes, this will provide some so-called link juice. Let's call that amount "X"...
Does this link also provide "X" amount of link juice for "Stupid Question" as well as "Pretty Question" OR is this anchor text ONLY useful for the exact phrase you used, "Pretty Stupid Question" in this case?
p.s. links to supporting documents for your comments are more then welcome. In my own opinion for that, the link juice will focus on the "Pretty Stupid Question" as this is the one you use as your anchor text. Anyway, let's hear from other members here on what can they say about that. Otherwise, a huge site with resources could use a rather long anchor text in many links and dominate a lot of niches.
Thanks for the response... looking forward to hear more opinions. Quote: Originally Posted by JackRT I have a decent knowledge behind anchor text and SEO. The link juice will pass to your website through the keyword "Pretty Stupid Question" and also you will get some benefits for both the keywords also.
