I have been asked to create a site for a friend of mine who is a photographer.
What I am wanting to do is create a site to showcase his photos, but design it so that he can upload his newly taken pictures and hit a "button" and never have to do any ftp'ing to the host himself, because knowing him and his lack-of knowledge with computers, he'd most likely upload a virus that would eat the internet to pieces....
Do you guys know of any way to design it in either flash or regular html/xml that can accomplish this task? Basically, I want to see if there is some photo gallery software that I can buy or download that can be installed onto a server and that comes with an interface that an end-user can easily use to upload photos and once uploaded there they will be displayed and cropped on his site...
Is this impossible? Can any ONE piece of software accomplish this? Can any ONE piece of code or combination of code accomplish this?
Can ANY OF YOU help me out on this? I'm willing to listen and give you any details you need....
