I have the advanced guestbook v2.3.4 and I cannot access the admin panel. I tried the reset.php provided by carbonize, but it requires a MySQL password to reset. The problem is that the password I have won't work. I was told, after submitting a ticket on the matter, that the MySQL password can be reset to blank through phpMyAdmin. I just have no idea where to change this info. Any help from whomever would be appreciated, thanks.<!--content-->
Welcome to the forums pumajonny <img src="http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /><br /><br />Well that's one way to do it. Another is to create another user and add it to the database. That would allow you access to the admin area I beleive.<!--content-->

Is there a config file for the guestbook? The password and user should be in the config file.<!--content-->
I found what was wrong with it, the correct password was in the config.ini.php file. So I plugged that in and was able to get into the admin account. Thanks for the help though.<!--content-->
Glad you got it working. <img src="http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /><!--content-->

I thought I explained in the file that you had to get the database password from the config file? I do recommend updating to AG 2.4.1 as it has anti spam now and comes with a password reset script in the misc folder.<!--content-->
