Are clicks worth different values for AdSense depending on the banner used?https://google.com/adsense/adformatsnot depending on the banner, no.some banners may get you MORE clicks, but the amount paid depends on the ad itself- what the advertiser agreed to pay per clickthe idea is, if you use a bigger banner, you should get more clicksOK, thats what I thought, but I sort of remember that some clicks are worth more than others; It's not a set rate per clickthat's true, but it has nothing to do with the banner size.advertisers "bid" on how much they're willing to pay, so competitive areas get much higher pay-per-clicks, usuallyok, would you think that a computer related forum gets high bidders for ads? (computer software, hardware, networking, webmster, etc)For some terms, yes -- but think in terms of what the conversion rate for an advertiser is. For instance, an advertiser isn't necessarily going to want to pay $1/click for an ad relating to a computer mouse that costs $20. Because profit margins are pretty slim in the technology sectors, don't expect too much. But I wanted to say -- that if you have 5 ads displayed, even though you might get more clicks, there's also a higher chance of getting less per click. If you have a single ad, chances are google will display the most expensive one (for logical reasons). So it's a trade-off --- just try experimenting with about 100 clicks (or enough to make it statistically significant) and see what comes out best. Takes a little patience, but in the long run may be benefial.Does adsense use cookies?
