I have a web site in homestead. I wish to add some java and a banner exchange there, but still having alot to learn i do not know how to add the tags. It says to paste it in the page source. It says past it to top of page ??? Help!!!<!--content-->Looks like there is no one who knows how to help me here. Does anyone know of a place where i might find answers to my ?s on adding java cut n paste to my homestead website?<!--content-->I don't think that Homestead supports Java.<!--content-->I don't think that he is talking about a server-side Java Application Whkoh. Kollens, you will need to edit your page in a text editorand paste the code in your page, using homestead's "drag and drop" editor won't work. Save your file to your hard drive, and open it up in notepad.<!--content-->If you create your pages offline and upload (which I understand you can in Homestead as long as you have a "normal" Homestead splash page that visitors pass on their way to other pages) there shouldn't be a problem. But if you depend on using what they call HTML "snippets" you will probably be able to get detailed advice at the Homestead forum:<br />
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://discussions.homestead.com/list/discuss.homestead.html.and.other.advanced.topics">http://discussions.homestead.com/list/d ... ced.topics</a><!-- m --><!--content-->I suggest that you use a better server that supports java and all the other little features that you will need when your site gets more and more important to you. Little things like FTP and stuff like that. Also, people dont want to see all those banners and stuff. After a while it gets annoying. And once you start making your own html pages you will be in need to upload more than one at a time and at a reasonable speed. I had a site there but I moved and now I am with NBCi.com formerly known as Xoom.com. I'm just giving my advice.<!--content-->
