Access-linked MySQL Tables

I am intending on linking my MySQL tables in Access to do reports (we print labels and things from these databases) that aren't really all that great to do with the web, and I don't want to rewrite the reports for PDF anyhow. So the logical conclusion is to link the tables in Access. My only problem with that is that MySQL converts all the spaces and some other characters to underscores in table names and field names, is there a way to prevent that, or will I just have to modify all the old Access information.
