Hello,
I want to know how that could be possible ! My homepage is ranked PR 2, but this page : coffeecupbreak.com/wibiya-toolbar-a-must-be-on-all-websites/ is a PR3 !! How could that be possible ? I think it is possible because PR would determine mainly by if your on page contents are fresh and original enough plus the quality of backlinks.
Thanks, Pagerank means "PAGE" not domain rank.
It's normal to have a subpage higher ranking than its domain frontpage.
One simple reason is probably there's more people linking exactly to your subpage instead of main page. It's not a problem having a non-homepage with higher PR, it just means Google rates it higher.... could be that more people have linked to that specific page, or even that you've had one or two really good links (high PR and relevant source). Be happy about it!!
Completely possible. It may have better content (in the SE's opinion) or more back links. Just enjoy it and smile. When You create good content then people will link to it, simple as that. More links the better and if a high rank blog links to you it could instantly increase the PR. maybe your main page got high out going links that the inner pages. Yes the above members above here are quite true,it happens some time. The variation of ranking is the effect of Indexation and number of backlinks of that page. It means that your sub page have good content and more quality backlinks than your homepage. It is totally possible
Yep, this is quit possible. It means your inner page is more stronger or valuable as per search engine requirements. Even my site's inner page has higher PR than home page. Not to worry about it!! that's really possible.. it depends on the popularity of the page.. maybe someone just link your inner pages because the quality content of it..
