Just looking for some advice and maybe i apointer in the right direction. I am putting together a website for scottish punk bands and i would like to create a single page that has a list of all the gigs in the order of Latest gigs at the top. There are a lot of gigs that get announced at different times so if it would be possible to have an add gig page for certain trusted people and then the gig would be added and automatically sorted into the right date in the list.
I hope that makes sense, would appreciate any help at all. Sorry if i've posted this in the wrong place.

Decide which language you want to use for server-side programming - E.G. PHP, ASP, PERL, Coldfusion...etc.
From there, find a host that will serve that language.
If you already pay for a site on the web, see which language(s) your host supports.Thanks for the quick reply. To be honest i think i would prefer PHP, which means this is in the wrong forum.

I have a host and it supports php, so whats my next step?
