I have been reading a lot of posts about backlinks. Many are from members who are new to internet marketing. There a lot of myths floating around.
I do not claim to be an expert. I do understand the basics and would like to try help clear up some of the strange ideas I have been reading from our new friends.
The number of backlinks is not as important as the quality.
They have more strength when they come from sites that have a high PR and authority sites. Avoid link farms. A link from a banned site could hurt.
They should be built in a natural manner several a day would probably be fine.
The idea with that is, Google would see that as your site gaining in popularity.
They have more juice (strength) when coming from relevant sites. Sites that are related to your product or service. (Your golf site gets golf related backlinks)
Backlinks alone will not guarantee a good page rank. Nor will they guarantee that you will make any money. There are many methods that can be used to promote your site.
There are many marketers who do not depend on search engines to get traffic and make money.
I can show you how to get 5,000 in one day. Google would most likely ban you forever and confiscate your computer?.LOL
