Ok i have ::

On my forums installed. First off, the addon requires the POST ID's to show up on the portal thing.

I know it might be pathetic, but i dont know. How do i find post / thread ID's?

Second, on this addon.
"Forum ID's (separated by a comma) of the forums you want excluded from the sidebar. (1,2,3)".

It doesnt work, i have "6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10 ,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23" but all those forums STILL show up. It's rather annoying to be honest. Next, i was able to enter the first post id cause it was the first post / thread made.

However, the issue with it now is. Once the post id has been entered the forums cant be seen. Example, click here ::

Next, is there a modification thats like this? Easy to use and like this, i tried Vbadvance and it didnt work out well. Please, if so let me know. Any other portal thats someone close to install as this.
 
Lol, alright thanks for the help. Anyways, thanks for the tip i should say, and i know what you mean. But as of now, im with bythost cause one, money. Can you recommend a good free hosting company? Im planning on getting premium, just cant get it now.

Anyways, please still need help on my above issues.
 
When you open a thread, on the address bar you'll see something like
Yoursite.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120
This means the THREAD ID is 120.

The POST ID, i would say to you look at the # number of it. Just mouse hover (or copy link), and you'll see the number as this:
Yoursite.com/forum/showpost.php?p=168&postcount=1
This menas POST ID is 168.

And about that forum ID stuff, make sure your ids are correct. Dont let space between them!
I'v never hear, and never used this product you mention so i got no clue about it.
I would recommend you vBadvanced CMPS.

Space or not, the id's dont matter they just all show up. So the damn modification is kinda lame.
 
You are not terrible at it, takes time to understand how it all fits. Just take it slow and be patient, the two things that we ALL hate like hell ... it will come if you just stick with it.
 
OK well since i only have one issue resolved, question. In my FTP i just have htdocs and than all my files for the forums (admin cp, etc). For VBadvance, do i need to have all those in a folder called "forum"?
