Ok, so here's the site:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.theminnercompany.com">http://www.theminnercompany.com</a><!-- m -->
The page is 4.01 strict...but it doesn't show up the same in Netscape as it does in IE, Mozilla, & FF...there is a big white box that seems to cover the bottom inch of the left hand menu. Why and more importantly how can i fix this?
Secondly, i have a png file of an ornament hanging off a tree limb in the upper left. This appears perfectly in most browsers except in an older IE browser where it doesn't appear transparent, instead it has a baby bluish background.
Any suggestions?
DerekWhat version of Netscape? It's a wonder an "older IE" would display a PNG at all.I'm sure it's a simple question bordering upon the rhetorical, -but why use a *png in the first place? A *gif is well-supported. In my (IE6-based) HTML-editor, I see a brief flash of 'baby-blue background' in that ornament.png upon every load (and even refresh). Myself, -I don't need the trouble that comes with *png... png is better than gif or jpeg. There is no trouble using png except, of course, with IE but what else is new?
Transparent png doesn't work in IE<7.
