This is my first post in here so a big hello to you all.I need a little help with javascript on a webpage that i am creating and being a newbie I am totally stuck. I am trying to modify this little cart example

so that if the user adds the same item twice then it updates the total; rather than just adding another underneath the first one. Secondly how would i go about adding a reset button to empty the cart. Any advice would be appreciated.
