Here are some I thought were pretty decent
K-19, The Widowmaker When Russia's first nuclear submarine malfunctions on its maiden voyage, the crew must race to save the ship and prevent a nuclear disaster. based on a true events.

Jim Belushi plays his temporary partner on the Chicago police. When the drug dealer escapes, the two police must overcome their differences in order to recapture him.
MUNICH During the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, eleven Israeli athletes are taken hostage and murdered by a Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September. In retaliation, the Israeli government recruits a group of Mossad agents to track down and execute those responsible for the attack. - The KGB was involved in hunting the assassins down. VERY GOOD MOVIE!

The only movie that comes to mind is "Enemy At the Gates". In the years after WWII, American students weren't told about the significant contribution Russia made to winning the war, nor were we told about the terrible slaughter they endured from the Nazis.
