Install Instructions

Please READ these instructions and follow them to the letter.

DO NOT RUN THE INSTALL SCRIPT!!

1. Upload the contents of the "upload" folder via ftp tp your website.

2. Create a database via your cpannel.

3. Edit the file called bigdump.php to reflect your new database details.

4. Point your browser to yourdomain.com/bigdump.php this will import the forums database to the database you created in step 2.

5. Edit the config.php file located in the includes folder to reflect the database details created in step 2.

6. Login to your admincp useing the login details admin/admin and then change the forums url and other details to reflect that of your own url.

7. Enjoy!!

Is this safe, I mean really because the uploader is telling us what to login as. For all we know he could have code thats emailing forums to him that have this installed...that cant be safe surely?

It is safe.
It is not an installer, he installed everything.
You just need to login with admin/admin.

I am testing it now btw on my closed development server.
Watching for outgoing connections....

It seems strange that we have to login to our own forum with a different username and password when really it should just work with the board admin login anyway.

l nice to see that my premod has made it over here to vbteam, shame you felt the need to remove the rar password tho, I ask very little from people who download my pre mods, so fail to see why you need to remove the password!

i have a question,, is it possible to use this premodded... and want to restore ONLY the THREADS and USERID and use the included mysql with the premodded...?

I did everything as instructed... i uploaded the files, run the bigdump and was successful, i edited the config... but still having the database error.. I redo the bigdump and made another fresh database but still no luck....

any suggestions?

You put correct database name - username and password both in bigdump.php and config.php? ... That's my error when ill try to install this premoded then ill check it back in databased if its correct and both have not set correct... then ill configured it and its working fine for me..

I already have vB installed, i like the ease of use in having all those mods installed automatically.
Is there a way where i can quickly mass install all of those mods found in this release?

Nope, your best bet is to install the premod as your main board and then use impex to post all your users/forums/posts ect over to the new premod

installed flawlessly :thu:

but not all the mods are not installed on all the postbits

also I get a "connecting to localhost..." on every click until it finally figures out where to go and it's slowing down the board big time

any thoughts?

yeah my bad, i misconfigured config.. prefix must be blank.....
