The Open WordPress Community

Hi everyone, I'm still fairly new around here, but I thought I'd point everyone over to one of my side projects - The Open WordPress Community. Basically, it's one central place where WordPress enthusiasts/developers/users can gather to discuss WordPress related topics, and to share their themes and plugins. The "official" WordPress support forums are fairly poor, and certainly don't have a community feel to them, and I'm looking to change that.

So, if you're a WordPress user of any sort, then head on over to The Open WordPress Community and take a look around. The site is pretty much still in it's infancy, so I'm wide open to suggestions to help make it a better place.

Thanks!

Great idea and I hope it takes off. You're right, the official WP pages are all but useless - I tried to learn WP coding from the Codex and failed miserably, then found a 3rd party tutorial and learned the whole thing in two days during my free time.
Thanks for the encouragment Expat - what I'm already finding out is how difficult it is to build an online community, it's not as simple as "if you build it, they will come"
Have you thought about using Google AdWords? It seems like a good way to get targeted traffic.
