I'm in the process of buildin a new site for my business.

I hear a lot about landing pages and to make sure you have the right style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> pages where the keyword content trumps all other things.

The goal with landing pages is to create a few ways that customers are likely to enter your site. So, if your site has 20 pages, there are maybe 3-5 places you would actually want them to enter (as opposed to them entering style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

QUOTE(lockie @ Oct 25 2007, 06:01 PM)

hile i'm wording my site, it keeps asking if I want to TAG words, Does this help?

I'm not sure what program you're using but it's probably picking up keywords and offering to place them in meta tags in your header. Not a bad practice in itself but you should do SEO by hand.
The program is webplus9.0.

I'm hoping to have the site sorted by the end of the weekend.

Is there anyway of getting it>

Is there anyway of getting it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Oh, and then pop the link into the WDF Review section and we'll tear it apart! j/k
Treat your landing page as how you treat your site - promote it via a number of ways to get better results. If it is a landing page for a product you are selling, I would suggest you opt for a pay per click campaign to get the the right/targeted visitors to it. PPC is a trial and error campaign for newbies. Always test the water before jumping in. Be cautious on how much you bid at first, weigh first what keywords convert in your niche after a test run so you will know what works and what doesn't. There are two ways of bidding - the agressive (high) and conservative (low). This will greatly depend on how much budget you are willing to put in.

You should also try out other PPC providers for more reach on your campaign and to test what PPC platforms works best for you.

Always remeber that getting targeted traffic from PPC and other marketing campaign is just the initial step, conversion will still depend on how well you match your visitors' needs with what you are oferring them.
