Is this considered spam by google?

I want to use my h1 tag, and put in my website title as the h1. I don't really like the way it looks though, so I am planning on using visibility="hidden" in html or visibility:hidden in the css. Which would be better and will either one of these completely hide the text from the website? I am just going to use an image to diplay the website title. I think hiding the h1 tag is not a good idea because search engine give much preferences for the H1 tag, off course it affects and may be it consider as a spam..
