does anyone use modx?

Just curious to find out if anyone has tried modx:
ModX

It would be great to find out if it's easy to implement, how versatile it is etc...
I looked into Modx previously, can't remember why I didn't use it - I now use Textpattern which is perfect for my needs which are normally not too complex!
I'm looking for a CMS I can learn to implement as I've been recently been let down by some programmers and would really like something I can master myself. I'm not a programmer and can style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I find it quite easy to use, much easier to customise that WordPress. Basically you have 'articles' (fancy name for a page) which belong to sections. You can then that different templates (eg. a homepage and internal page) which you assign to your sections. It has inbuilt search, rss and a mass of plugin available.

The pages are built using textpattern 'tags' such as:

CODE<txp:article pgonly="0" searchall="1" status="4" />

which the CMS can built for you as well, but you get used to them and can write them yourself.

I use the cms as www.example.com/section/article-name - and you can assign different template to sections, and all the pages (TXP calls them articles) 'underneath' that section.

I find TXP easier to use, as I've broken it down to that simple as that's all I need.

I'd download the package, and install it and fiddle with the default template, or download some templates.

SEFURL's aswell, looks nice and clean, I may install that and see what it's about. I havn't had a need for a publishing tool like that for a while but may do soon and it's always wise to keep your options open. I was a big fan of Cutenews for a while as it was easy to customise and use, then Wordpress took over but it's becoming Bloaty so SNews may be ideal.

Cheers
