Did LL Cool J really went at Canibus cuz...???

...he felt disrespected by "the mic" comment or he saw a chance to get back into the limelight by taking on a rookie...???

I know it's old shyt but I've been bumping Canibus and wanted to ask... So blow a bubble if you don't like the Q...
@ PureD LMAO at your quote... BTW Where you been?
LOLZ I feel you. I watched one day and it was forced on me... They full of shyt if you ask me...
Dru I disagree cuz Canibus apologize and took the line off the original record and LL still went ahead and dissed him. So that can only be cuz he wanted to beef...
He needed some shine...it was the right time for him to do so. He had no business goin at Canibus.

@Angel--I been busy with work today and now the day is slowin down...i been in the Olympics section messin with the people there because the Olympics are startin to piss me off.

Its just cause he got offended by Canibus rapping about his mic tattoo. He would have nothing to gain by intentionally starting beef with Canibus. Canibus was pretty much a nobody at that time, so the beef brought Canibus into the limelight, not the other way around.

Listen Canibus definitely ACED LL. His original verse was iller, and even after LL requested he change it, it was still iller, and the backstabbing, side cutting, toenail stepping verse that LL wrote after hearing Canibus's 2nd verse and deciding he was going to make this a public spectacle was not even close to ill as Canibus's. It was obvious he was trying to hard and if it really was that devastating, theres no way canibus would have been able to put out a Gold record after that. Anywho, even if it isnt clear after 4,3,2,1 Canibus ATE through LL's career in 32 bars and the "Rip the Jacker" comeback was too long and all it did was touch on everything Canibus said and try to flip it. (i.e., I'll make you call Jesse Jackson)

Long story short. The opening line on 2nd Round Knock Out says it all.
"Yo, l'm a let the world know the truth, you don't want me to shine. You studied my rhymes. Then you layed your vocals after mine. That's a bi%^h move!"

How can you even give credit to something like that. That's like the PPatriots filming practices, but some people still say they are the greatest, too.
