what should a person chmod the files back to after the installation? is it 666 or 766

I am getting this error any body knows how to fix it.

Keygen is replacing the files with new data...

you dont need to do chmod on windows.

If you're using Fat32, then every file on the system is essentially chmod 777

I'm getting this error on Step 2 of the installation:

Error description: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) /home/a3276884/public_html/includes/class_core.php on line 311

The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

My config.php is in CHMOD 777 and I still don't understand how I can solve it. Please help.
