Basic Content Management

Hi

I'm new here and have enjoyed reading posts/replies.

I have been asked to design a website with a page that the owner can update without my involvement.

They simply want to alter their prices against a small range of products style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I would highly recommend cutenews but I would also recommend Wordpress - Slowly but surely there turning into less of a blog but a CMS - I've been working with it recently and am finding it relativily easyily to use and implement. Upgrading through versions is a doddle too

Dave
I've not got my head round wordpress yet - I even bought a book - I just never have the time to sit down and get stuck in without being interrupted by work or clients or something else!
Thanks for the replies.

I'll have a look at the links.

I had thought about Wordpress. I successfully loaded Wordpress style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
I've got a design for a word press blog and I'd also like to do another blog styled just like my site - but always fall at the first hurdle when it comes to customising an exisiting template - I never ahve enough time. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Really? _ so I would just build the XHTML+CSS the way I normally do....I'll give that a go next time I'm at it.
Yup, although be sure to follow the generic outline of the WordPress code otherwise it wont work at all. Just check out a simple theme to see where the code is placed around the layout, then adopt the technique for your own design.
From what you've described, it seems that you may need a shopping cart script instead of a cms.
Cutenews and Wordpress are all o.k, but nothing beats building your own. That way, you understand it more, and its easier to implement.
